MERRY CHRISTMAS...
12.24.2008

I don't know about all of you, but our last couple of weeks have been nothing but a blur...running here and there, picking up this, delivering that, etc.  The holidays truly bring out the hustle and bustle of the season and this year we definitely found ourselves swept away in it.

So, as I am trying to finish some last minute business details, pack for our trip to Ohio, finish wrapping presents, stressing that our Christmas cards aren't finished yet (sorry...they have become New Year's cards :), trying to pick up the house before we leave, I decided to take a minute and just stop...stop everything.  I hate how this time of year comes and goes so quickly...making it easy to forget the true meaning of why we celebrate this joyous time of year...  I hope more than anything else this Christmas that you can find this time to just stop, breathe and remember the true meaning of Christmas.  After all, Christ was sent to be relational with us and our prayer is that you may be close to the ones you love and that your relationships will be rich and pure now and in the coming year.  Merry Christmas and God's blessings...

SHELBY...A SENIOR
12.20.2008

My apologies for the lack of blog posts lately.  It is that time of year...the hustle and bustle of the season.  We have been going here, there and everywhere trying to finish up things here with Christmas orders and trying to manage some of our own personal time.  Usually, we give our clients a preview through the blog, but our last few sessions are getting the preview after they've seen their pics.  Everything will be back to normal soon...thanks for your patience. :)

Shelby was such a fun senior to document.  I got to meet her during her friend's session several months back, so her session was full of laughter and craziness.  :)  This truly was the last nice fall day which was perfect since it was our last fall session.  If I recall correctly, within a day or two the temperature dropped to record low's for this time of year.  Thankfully, we were finished and didn't have to battle the cold chills in the air.  Shelby...thanks for allowing us to capture you during your senior year.  We wish you the best as you plan for the next step in your life.  Blessings...  :)

Her eyes were out of control...  :)

I loved this green door...

A favorite...for sure.

I had a few small heart failures walking across this bridge...sweaty palms and everything.   :)

WHITNEY...A SENIOR
12.15.2008

I had a great time getting to know Whitney during her senior session.  She made my job super easy with her ease in front of the camera.  I loved it!  She is currently working on getting her hair license and plans to be working in a salon soon after she graduates.  I love how she already knows what she wants to do.  It took several years being in college before I knew what I truly wanted to do.  I wish you the best as you finish out your senior year.  Enjoy this time that flies by so quickly...

The colors in the trees were AMAZING!

Love this one...  :)

GREG & BETSY...ENGAGED
12.10.2008

There is something about a fall day, with a beautiful sunset, a farm with horses and dogs, and an ever-so-sweet couple.  Betsy has had her horse for years, so we thought the farm would be an excellent location for their session.  I had so much fun getting to know the two of them.  With the short amount of time I had with Greg and Betsy during their session, I could already see the amount of fun we are going to have with them at their wedding in March.  I learned that Greg is a local hip hop artist who has a hit single...a song that he wrote about Betsy...quite impressive.  I hope to hear some of it at their reception.  ;)

Every day I am finding out how small this world is...and I actually don't mind.  I know that I have said this before, but it is so true.  Betsy found out about us from one of our brides this year, Kate.  Greg happened to grow up with one of our former brides, Misti and I receive emails frequently of how people are connected to us in one form or another.  I love it!

Anyway, enough of my rambling.  Enjoy these pictures...you will see right away the love they share.  We can't wait to capture the big day.  Love to you both...

It is obvious how much he adores her...

So much gallery wrap potential...  :)

Love it, love it!

Her eyes are piercing blue...and beautiful.

Loving this one...

They have so much fun together...

PHIL & HEATHER...ENGAGED
12.10.2008

What a beautiful location for Heather and Phil's engagement session.  I had never been to the Ft. Harrison National Park in Indianapolis, but wow...it was amazing.  Who would have thought there would be hills and nature in central Indiana?  ;)  Anyway, Heather and Phil hold a special place in our hearts because Heather is my second cousin.  We shot her sister's wedding several years back and now it is Heather's turn.  Sadly enough for me, I remember when she was born, making me feel old.  However, it has been wonderful watching her grow into the beautiful woman she is today...and Phil is absolutely perfect for her...sweet, caring and just loves Heather to pieces.  We can't wait to celebrate with them next summer.  Much love to you both...

The light peeking through the trees was breathtaking...

I loved the roots in this one...

The expressions on their faces make me smile...loving this one.
