DENNIS & EMILY...ENGAGED
09.28.2008

I am in love with these two!  They are so geniune and so in love.  I had a somewhat difficult time getting to them since 2 of the major highways around Chicago were closed due to flooding.  I was an hour late because I had no idea that there were closures.  Anyway, Dennis and Emily completely worked around my schedule to make their e-session happen and it was so worth it.

We had such a wonderful time during their session.  Of course, we took pictures, but we also had some amazing conversations.  I had the opportunity to watch them interact while we drove around downtown Chicago and it made my heart melt.  I loved hearing their stories, their dreams and their plans...just another gentle reminder of why we love...to experience life together.  Dennis and Emily..we can't wait to celebrate with you!

The lighting was perfect...loving this one.

Seriously?!?!?!

This spot holds a special place in their hearts.  They were engaged right here in Grant Park.  It was a bit wet...actually, a bit muddy, but we still took the time to remember...

The more we travel to Chicago the more we learn the importance of the L-Train.  This is a common place for the two of them when they travel.

Whoaaaa!!!

Love, love, love...

This is how my drive home looked.  I managed to go 4 miles in 2 hours...doesn't that sound like fun? ;)  During one of the "complete stop" moments I got out to take a picture...I guess you could say I was getting bored and so was the trucker on the left. :)   However, the wait was more than worth it...

JUST BECAUSE...
09.26.2008

There is no real reason for this post other than to share a couple of pics of Gabe and Claire with you.  We had a few free evenings this week, so we walked, rode bikes, and played in the yard.  Claire was much more interested in eating the grass and Gabe wanted to play baseball.  However, I did manage to sneak a fake smile from Gabe and Claire with some grass in her mouth.  This is our life right now...enjoy!

It has been a busy week with a lot of shooting and very little time to edit.  Thanks for being patient with us...there is a lot more to come.  Have a wonderful weekend! :)

DAYNE & LORI...MARRIED
09.24.2008

The week of Dayne and Lori's wedding the talk was of rain the entire day.  Well, to much of their surprise the weather was absolutely beautiful...a little warm, but otherwise wonderful.  The beauty of the day wasn't just in regards to the weather...there was a stunning bride, a handsome groom, a fun wedding party and the perfect locations.  Basically, it comes down to an amazing day and we were honored to be able to celebrate with Dayne and Lori.  Their love goes beyond a one day event...a love that will last forever.  Blessings to you both...

I'm loving this one...

Such a beautiful church...

A favorite past-time...  ;)

This has become a bit of a tradition.  Last October we shot Ashley's wedding and did this shot with her bridesmaids.  Well, in June, Lori's sister, Lisa, got married and they repeated the shot.  Of course, we had to keep the tradition going...

Woo-hoo!!!!

This guy was rocking it out the entire night.

Their reception took place at the Murat Theatre.

JOE & KRISTI...MATERNITY
09.22.2008

Another fun session...I just loved spending some time with Joe and Kristi.  You would have thought we had been long-time friends.  :) They are such sweet people and the love they share is so unbelievably evident.  They had decided to hold off on finding out the gender of the baby which brought even more excitement to their already anxious spirits.  Well, two days after this session Kristi delivered a healthy baby boy...talk about cutting it close. ;)  I get to document the start of his new life later this week and I can't wait!  So, stay tuned for more...

I love this angle...

So, so sweet...

I told her that she was glowing in this shot...and wouldn't you agree?  Beautiful...

LIFE WITH THREE...
09.19.2008

Every time I photograph families with more than 2 children I always have to take a minute and stand in awe.  Well, the same went for this sweet family's session.  Three little girls under the age of 2--wow!!  I pray daily that God will show us how to raise two little ones...let alone 3.  However, it seemed as though they had things pretty under control. :)  The twins were as sweet as can be and baby sister Claira took everything in.  We had a wonderful time and I loved interacting with the little ones.  You guys have quite the precious family.  Thank you for letting me capture these beautiful moments.

I love this first one!
