I love watching boys be boys.  They think so much differently than girls...act so much differently...play so much differently.  You can never recapture the moments that happen during childhood.  They come and go so quickly.  I can see many expressions captured during this session of Mr. Jonah (some are displayed here, but many more with his gallery ;)...his playful spirit, his ornery disposition, and his loving emotion.  What a joy and honor to capture these moments...  I love you guys and am so thankful for the friendship that has developed because of this crazy photo-taking business.  ;)

The one down-side to taking photos for our family members is that there are times when they have to be set aside to get other work done.  I know that sounds awful, but we are thankful to have families that give us grace when we are busy, busy.  It just makes the longer wait a bit more sweet...  ;)  

Lil' Halle Faith was born on May 13...my birthday, actually.  It was such a wonderful surprise and I am honored to share my day with my little niece.  She is as adorable as can be and Claire can't wait for her to get bigger.  ;)  It is going to be so much fun to watch the two of them as they get older.  Josh and Britney...you are both amazing parents already.  We love all 3 of you like crazy...

This is one of my favorites.  A new mom is somewhat in her own little world when her long awaited blessing joins the family...sleep deprivation, wondering if you are doing all that you can to care for your child, trying to remember when the next feeding is, but even more than all of that...the daily realization that the baby you are holding is all yours...amazing!  Britney is in her own precious little world...enjoy it Britney...this time goes way too fast.

This crib has been in Britney's family for many generations.  It was a must that we took advantage of it for Halle's debut...

Another beautiful day for another beautiful couple!  There was sweet emotion and downright orneryness seen throughout the entire day.  It was evident that Paul and Dana wanted to have fun on their wedding day and that they did.  They took advantage of what the day had to offer and the end result is something they will cherish for the rest of their lives.  

I can't say enough good things about the two of them and the love they share.  They truly care about others and wanted to make sure that everyone was cared for throughout the day.  This alone speaks numbers about them...and don't even get me started about their family and friends.  Her dad always had a bottle of water ready to offer us (it was a warm day)...the thought was so much appreciated.  Because of who they are as individuals, the love they share is going to impact everyone they come in contact with from here on out.  Congratulations you two...get ready for an amazing ride!  Love to you both...

I had so much fun getting to know Sam during his session...even though it was painfully hot outside!  :)  He actually lives in California, but wanted a more urban setting for his senior photos.  So, he and his parents planned a trip to Indianapolis to visit his sister and have his session done.  It was an honor to capture this time for him and we wish him the best as he completes his last year of high school.  He will be heading to the east coast for his college career where he will be playing soccer.  Thanks again for the opportunity to share this time with you...

So, we are leaving for the state of Washington in less than 5 hours and I have yet to get myself packed.  ;)  We are going to be shooting John and Stephanie's wedding and visiting my dad's side of the family for the week.  It should be a crazy, awesome trip and we look forward to sharing it with you.  

In the meantime, we have been working like mad trying to get ourselves ready so that we can actually leave without the weight of the world on our shoulders (aka...wedding season ;).  Well, I must say that even though there is plenty more to do I am thankful for what we have accomplished in the past few weeks.  There is so much more to come and we can't wait to share it with you.  I was really hoping to have Sam's session all ready to post.  However, between emails, orders, albums, phone calls, scheduling, etc...I just couldn't get all of the editing done.  So, here I am half way through his session and I have made myself stop.  It is time to shower, pack and get a few hours of sleep before we board a plane with Gabe and Claire for a six hour flight.  Aaahhhh!!!!!  Sounds like fun, doesn't it?  ;)  Anyway, I was thinking an A+ for effort would suffice for now.  Please be patient with us this week as we will be delayed returning emails and phone calls.  We will be with you as soon as we can.  Blessings to you...
