CLAIRE...A 1 YEAR OLD
01.26.2009

We bought a new camera before Christmas and haven't had a chance to try it out, so I thought I would try it out on Claire.  I can't believe how big she is getting.  She is all girl and very busy...loves to climb into things, carry around her dolls, look at books and follow around her big brother.  Jeremy calls her our little "search and destroyer" because she loves to pick and drop, pick and drop.  :)  Isn't she sweet?...more to come.  We love the new Canon 5D Mark II, by the way.  ;)

So sweet...

Do you remember the glow worm?  She loves it!

RELIVING 2008...PORTRAITS
01.24.2009

When I think over our past year I'm amazed at how many wonderful people we have had the opportunity to work with.  We are so unbelievably blessed and we appreciate all of you so much.  For us, we truly enjoy getting to know each individual, family, bride, groom, senior, child...the list goes on and on.  If you know me, you know that I am a people person.  I thrive on human connection and love that we have such strong ties with our clients.  We are anxious as we start 2009 and know that again we will be blessed...because of wonderful people like you.  Thank you for an awesome year...we look forward to seeing all of you again and meeting more of you in the future.

Below you will see a slideshow of some of our portrait highlights from 2008 (wedding/engagement will be on a separate post :).  Some of the pictures you have seen on the blog, others I chose because of the moments that were shared during each session...lots of laughter, sometimes tears, happiness...life.  Enjoy!

DENNIS & EMILY...MARRIED
01.19.2009

You may remember Dennis and Emily from their Chicago engagement session several months back.  I knew then that their wedding was going to be memorable and that the love they share would be a testimony to everyone that witnessed it.  Dennis cares deeply for Emily and Emily truly respects Dennis.  It is evident that they compliment each other in every way.  It was an honor for us to capture their day and to have had the opportunity to get to know them and develop a friendship with them.  We wish you the best as you begin this amazing journey together.  Much love...

This was Emily's reaction when she saw herself in the mirror for the first time.  ;)

Radiant...

Their first moments together...

...sharing of gifts.

I have a lot of favorites here...

What's an Indiana wedding without a train?  ;)

Dennis and Emily each wrote their own vows for each other.  Well, after Emily finished reading hers Dennis asked, "Can't I kiss her now?"  Below is that moment...

I guess you could say that they knew how to have a good time...

Their first dance was beyond unique.  What started out as a sweet, slow dance turned into quite the show...it was rather impressive.

A special moment between Emily and her dad...

JUST AN UPDATE...
01.16.2009

My apologies for the delay in posting.  We have been busy working on some new and exciting ideas that we look forward to sharing with you in the near future.  The winter months involve a lot of getting ready for the coming year, so our focus has moved a bit to begin implementing these new ideas.  :)  On top of that we are still busy shooting, editing, designing, ordering, etc.  We are so blessed to work with such wonderful people and I can't wait to share with you some of what we have been up to.  For now, a picture from Dennis and Emily's wedding...what an amazing day!  More to come early next week...enjoy your weekend.

MIKE & MARGARET...MARRIED
01.08.2009

It was a beautiful winter day in Notre Dame country.  There was snow on the ground, a chill in the air...enough to make your toes and fingers tingle if you stayed out long enough.  However, deep down you could sense the warmth and love that everyone shared.  It's hard to notice the cold when you find a couple who love each other so much.  It could be felt by everyone around Mike and Margaret.  We were honored to be a part of their day and feel blessed that they found us...even with them living in Colorado.  ;)  I love the connection we have with our clients and Mike and Margaret are no exception.  They are as sweet as can be and so much fun to be around.  Thank you for choosing us and allowing us to capture a glimpse of the love you two share...much love to you both.

It was an early start to the day...11 am ceremony.  Notre Dame schedules 4 ceremonies every Saturday...9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm.

The Basilica is breathtaking...

Margaret has a special history with weddings at the Basilica.  Her mother and grandmother were both married here.  What an awesome tradition...

This picture depicts the chill in the air...Margaret was quite the champ.  ;)

Margaret looked absolutely beautiful...

It was a true Irish wedding...

A friend did it first followed by Margaret...a push up...in her wedding dress...on the dance floor.  Totally something I would have done...love it!

I'm pretty sure this was during "Livin' on a Prayer..."--Whooah, livin' on a prayer...take my hand...  :)
