A few weeks back I had the opportunity to travel to New York City to capture Jack and Amy's engagement session. You may remember them from the post where Jack proposed through our blog. ;) If not, you have to check it out. A very unique idea all mastered by Jack...loved it. Anyway, we were honored when they asked us to shoot their wedding and even more excited when they mentioned the idea of their engagement session taking place in NYC. Of course, I was all for it. ;)
I have truly enjoyed getting to know the two of them over the past couple of years and just love them to pieces. I already feel like we are old friends. ;) It is obvious how much they care and respect one another. They listen to each other, argue with each other and sometimes make fun of each other, but to say that their love is obvious would be an understatement. I really could go on and on...but I won't. You've got some pictures to look at. ;)
I know you've seen this one, but wanted to show you some of our stops throughout the day.
We enjoyed some good moments at Central Park...lots of them, actually. You'll see... ;)
Love, love this one...it makes me happy.
Loved this little area...
I was quite fond of this bridge...and the two people standing on it. ;)
Love these below...
We met up one last time to grab a few night shots at Times Square. It was an exhausting day, but so very worth it. Jack and Amy, thank you so much for letting us capture this time for you...we can't wait until the wedding. Love to you both...

Now, you might be asking...what's this? Pictures of another couple? Confused? Well, while we were strolling through Central Park Amy said, "Hey! Is that guy proposing?" Of course, I was checking out the scenery and not paying a lot of attention to what was going on around me. As soon as I looked, I knew what was going on. Then, something inside of me took off towards them. Crazy person, I know. ;) I couldn't help but think...I had a camera...what a special moment for them. So, I did it...I quickly became the paparazzi attacking this poor couple. ;) Somewhere in the middle of their excitement I interrupted them to let them know that I wasn't crazy-crazy...just thought they might like to remember this moment. So, here you have it...a captured proposal in Central Park. Loved it! Who knows...you might see them again as well...only kind of kidding. ;) ;)

One of the things I loved about capturing these moments for them...it was real. Most of these shots were taken before they knew I was there...love it!
