WELCOMING KNOX...
09.06.2010

This family is very dear to us...plain and simple.  We have known them for many years now and have treasured every moment we have had with them.  I have so much joy in my heart seeing their little family complete.  Julie told me several years back when she was pregnant with Ty (the middle son) that if he was a boy, they would have to try for a third because she always imagined life with 3 boys.  Well, for some time they thought they would stop with 2 until they realized they wanted to live with no regrets.  The dream was for 3, but life seemed much simpler with 2.  I admire them for not taking the easy way out. ;)  Life is hard...but the reward of 3 precious boys far outweighs the stress of today.  We love you guys and are so very happy for you!

This one makes me smile.  He was on the verge of being hungry...love his little expression. ;)

Gosh, they are sweet...

This idea came to me rather suddenly and I love it!  They were given specific instructions and followed through perfectly. Good job, boys!

Loving this one...

Beautiful...

Knox's daddy plays the drums...  We could listen to him all day...he is quite amazing!

JACKSON & MADDOX...SUCH SWEETNESS!
07.06.2010

All newborns are a treat, but it gets even better when there are two of them...especially, these two little guys.  Jackson and Maddox are beyond words precious.  It is safe to say that they slept the majority of the time and only needed to be nourished once.  I was completely impressed.  They have the proudest big sister and parents who couldn't feel more blessed.  You know, I have always wondered how parents with multiples do it.  And, I think that's it...they just do it.  They adapt to what they have been given and it just works.  Sure, there will be tough moments, but I know they wouldn't trade it for the world.  Congratulations and hugs to you guys!

The proud big sister!

They are so sweet...

I love this one.  Yes, we got one of both of them. ;)  The other one is going in the opposite direction.

I have grown quite fond of this family.  I have had the opportunity to capture them since Julia was 5 months old.  Love them to pieces and love watching their family grow...

I have captured many newborn babies over the years and I have to say that this is a first.  Usually, the dad gets it...sometimes the mom.  However, this time it was me...all me!  I can't tell you now who did it, but I do know that his little bladder was completely empty after this. ;)

****I have been very fortunate to have a dear friend of mine join me for newborn sessions.  I realized that what I was trying to do with newborns required 4 hands...if you have experienced a newborn session with me, you know.  There is a lot of soothing and positioning that takes place and I don't expect these new parents to know what to do.  So, I would like to say thank you to Jennifer for joining me.  You have been such a blessing to me and I truly appreciate the time you give to help make this process more efficient.  Love to you...

WELCOME VIVIAN...
07.04.2010

Being a photographer can prove to be difficult when it comes to your own family...especially a newborn.  People ask all the time, "Who takes your pictures?"  For the longest time, Jeremy and I would set up the tripod to grab a quick shot.  However, as we added both Gabe and Claire into the picture that became next to impossible.  Thankfully, we have developed some amazing friendships with other photographers, so we have that department handled now.  I learned my lesson when I was trying to take pictures of Claire as a newborn.  I was in no condition to take the number of photos that I did, but I wanted to capture every minute of it.  It wasn't until after I had her that I came across another photographer who said, "When it comes to documenting your own family, pass the camera on to someone else."  I couldn't agree more...

Well, sweet Vivian's Mommy is also a photographer and I was honored when she asked me to capture these precious moments for their newest addition.  I met Amanda a little over a year ago and I have truly enjoyed getting to know her.  As for Vivian, she was an absolute delight and as precious as can be.  Thank you, Amanda, for giving me a peek into her little life and I look forward to seeing our friendship grow.  Hugs to you!

She gave me several dreamy smiles...

She let us move her this way and that way...such a good little model.

I could've loved on her all day...so sweet!

RICH, MICHELLE & BABY-ON-THE-WAY...
06.28.2010

Oh, how I love this time of a couple's life.  There is so much anticipation and preparation as they prepare to bring this new life into the world.  I remember so many of these moments with Gabe and Claire.  Little ones definitely change your life and fill it with blessings beyond words.  I am so glad that I was able to capture this time for Rich and Michelle.  These precious moments will be ones they will remember long after that sweet, baby girl joins their little family.  I can't wait to meet her soon.  Hugs to you both!

A favorite...

I absolutely love this one...

WELCOME HUDSON...
05.17.2010

I hope you are ready for this sweet, little goodness...  I know a lot of you have been anxious for this new addition to hit the blog and here he is.  The family has welcomed him with lots of kisses, sweet hugs and so much love.  He has 3 very proud, older siblings who are heads over heels in love with him.  I had so much joy in my heart watching them interact...the gift of family is something that can never be replaced.

Oh, how we love you guys and your precious family!  Enjoy every minute...I can't believe how quickly they change!

Love, love this picture...

Such proud siblings...

Sweet as honey...love him!

I must say that Hudson was the perfect little model.  Due to weather and schedules we had to break their session up a bit.  He slept through everything!

Les...you look so amazing!

Just for fun...
